Storyline

In Observatory, a small suburb outside of Cape Town, South Africa, not many bar owners obey liquor license laws...but what happens when only certain bar owners get penalized? Geno Cupido, owner of RELOAD, lives in his bar so that he doesn't have to pay rent on another unit elsewhere. He tells me his story about getting shut down a few years prior when he was operating without a liquor license. The problem is that most bar owners violate the same laws, but only black and colored (mixed race) owned bars get shut down. Meet the Business Forum, the Improvement District, and the community watch leader who claim racism is not the problem, but rather 'rowdy' clientele. There will always be two sides to every story.
