It's 1987 and Danielle, the high school 'Dirty Girl', is running away. With her is chubby, gay Clarke, a bag of flour called Joan and a Walkman full of glorious '80s tunes.
A comedic story of the search for identity and the redemptive power of unexpected friendship. Danielle is the dirty girl of Norman High School. When Danielle's misbehavior gets her banished to special ed, she teams up with an innocent closet-case and together they head out on a road trip to discover each other and themselves through a funny and serendipitous friendship.

Revealing mistakes:
After Danielle pulls away from Clarke and he hits his nose, making it bleed, she goes to get him a tissue. When she hands him one, you can read the logo "Puffs" on the bottom of the box. "Puffs" were not available until 1988.
